Okay, it's near the end of April. We've had a few nice days when I could actually go outside without a heavy jacket and not feel uncomfortably cold. Then it started snowing.
Maybe someone forgot to tell Old Man Winter, spring started a month ago.
Most of the ground is covered in snow, the wind is blowing cold and hard. It's hard to believe summer is just around the corner.
In other news, global cooling may be what we should really be worrying about.
Or maybe we should just accept that earth goes through temperature cycles and get on with our lives.

Fun and stress.

It's all her fault! That little angel has been playing with the world's thermostat!
With the crazy warm weather one month then arctic winds with no snow up here, and the citrisicles down south, I'm really wondering how this whole 'global warming' scare manages to hold water. (Maybe it's frozen like the rest of us.)
Funny thing is, I ran into a news bit claiming that a survey showed that there are more people who believe global warming is real than two years ago. (The percentage is up by about 5 points, big whoop.) That same survey apparently showed that there are fewer people who think it's due to human activity. (Again, a very small drop, percentage wise.) Too bad I didn't catch the name of the outfit doing the research so I could verify the report.
Though the difference isn't by much, it's still interesting. Personally, I take global warming as fact. We are, after all, coming out of a cold cycle for the planet. I guess I don't take the CO2-is-destroying-the-ozone craze as seriously as I might since my Dad remembers when global cooling was the big and-we're-all-gonna-die scare.
Anyway, the whole thing inspired me to draw this little cartoon. I think I may turn it into a t-shirt eventually.Current Music: Kittenlark using the treadmill
