Humans are silly creatures.
Nothing against people, all creatures are silly. At least the ones with a central nervous system. Dogs are silly. Cats are silly. Rabbits and hamsters and lizards and turtles are all silly creatures.
But you know what makes a creature even sillier? When it takes itself seriously. Ironically, the people who are the most serious and against being silly are the silliest of all. That's what makes cats sillier than dogs. Dogs being silly are just being dogs but a cat doing something silly are much funnier because they try to hide that silliness so much.
So embrace your silliness and you become less silly, but also more comfortable with yourself.
Be silly! Revel in silliness! Bleat like goats and sheep while climbing mountains! Roll in the grass like a puppy! Enjoy life!Current Mood: silly Current Music: (watching Dr. G.)

Manga ... anime ... must have more.
And yet the library in this town only carries one of the series I'm interested in!
You'd think a larger town would have a larger library. Oh well.
Anyway, this post is for the benefit of a contest I entered called What's Your Obsession?
^w^ Obsessed? Me?

*ahem* Yes. Well...
I guess right now my obsession would be anime and manga. All things mythological. Japanese history. Plushies!!!
Such a wide range of interests... Cute animal! AAAA!!!
Yes. ^^; I like cute things. But my definition of cute is a tad loose. There was this really cute little bearded dragon I wanted at the pet store, but someone bought him. T.T
The tragedies of being poor. Must get job! Job opening! Banzai! ARGH! I am so sick of filling out application forms.
Pretty fishies. I want a beta, too. And canaries, and cats, and dogs, and raccoons! And a pet squirrel! I want a zoo!
^w^
And once I have enough money I'm also going to buy a decent video editing program so I can make some more music videos. I have some great couple videos planned for Miroku and Sango. (They're such a funny couple, and get very little attention compared to Inuyasha and Kagome.)
It would be so cool if I had powers like in anime like Inuyasha. I wonder what sort of animal I'd be. Maybe a squirrel. I always wanted to be a squirrel. ^-^ Fluffy tail! I want a fox too. I want to meet Shippo and hug him and feel his fluffy tail! So cuuuuuuute!Current Mood: geeky Current Music: some random Christian rock.

Yesterday I got to spend the afternoon on Birch lake with an uncle, two of my cousins, Nightengale, and my little brother. Kittenlark had to stay home because she wasn't feeling well.
I got to have my first ride in a motor boat! Before I've only been in a canoe and a dingy. (Well, and a ferry, but that's totally different.) I got to put my hand in the wake as it shot up the sides. I got to get really close to water lillies and swam deep in the lake. Getting out of the boat was a lot easier than getting in.
Not only that, but just getting back too the boat was hard. I had been floating on my back and drifted way off. When I tried to paddle back I wasn't making any progress. It was really frustrating.
Then I couldn't pull myself back into the boat. Everyone else was having the same problem. (Except my little brother, who stayed in the boat on account that he can't swim yet.) So my uncle had us all hang onto the side as he started up the motor and got us a little closer to shore. Not so close that I could touch bottom, but I did step into some thick weed beds and water bubbled up around me every time I moved. It was really weird.
Everyone else managed to get in, but I couldn't. I finally managed to get one leg over the side but the something was getting pinched and I couldn't lift the other leg. So my uncle pulled me in and I was head down with my butt bent over the side of the boat! I finally righted myself and *boy* did I feel weird.
Then we headed back to the dock and we walked to the official swimming area. Well, everyone else did. I stayed behind to make sure nothing got left in the boat and put on my sandles. Then I walked there and started feeling kinda sick. So I went to the outhouse and felt sicker. >x< But I felt better after I got out.
Then I went swimming. I played with a little toddler who was wading and scooping up water with a bucket. She was soooo cute! I also floated on my back a lot. It's really relaxing except for this one spot on the back of my neck under the skull that keeps hurting when I float on my back. ??
Oh! I forgot to mention! On the way to the lake we saw a baby raccoon! Her ran across the road and stopped near the edge. He stared at us as we went passed.
Baby raccoons are CUTE! ^_^
I want to live in the woods. There I can be myself and not have people getting after me to have more decorum or to stop being so imbarrassing. I can woop and holler and run on all fours and just *relax* when I'm out in the forest. So if I can find a place like that and still have internet access I think I'd go for it.Current Mood: chipper Current Music: computer noises

Wee! I've been to the circus! And there were elephants and horses, and aligators! Yes, aligators! A small one and a big one and a small crocidile. And the ring master put his head in the big aligator's mouth!
OO
Whoa!
The small aligator was pretty lively, kept running around the ring, but it was the crocidile that escaped into the audience at the end of the act.
Man, I wish I'd been in that section. I'd so love to be that close to a crocidile. And they seemed very tame. Not agressive at all. So it's possible to have a tame crocidile or aligator. Wow.
And the baby elephant was so cute! Ooooo.
Hee-hee. PETA must be having a corrinary.
It's not like the animals are badly treated or anything. (I have a pamphlet that tells just the oposite.) In fact, having circus animals insures a population.
Think about it. As long as circuses raise rare animals like elephants, crocidiles, and zebras, we'll always have elephants, crocidiles, and zebras.
And the circus also brings other cultures to town. I got to see Kazak (sp?) horseback tricks used in battle. Like flipping around in the saddle to defend against pursuers. And playing dead by hooking their feet to the stirrups and making it look like they're being dragged. This tricks the enemy, and they might try to capture teh horse, with they're guard down the Kazak warrior could then strike.
Coolness. ^_^
And real flying trapez! And a strongman act! The guy caught a cannon ball flying out of a cannon! A real Civil War cannon ball in a real cannon! At close range! Oo
So cool. So incredibly cool.
I wish I could've video taped it to watch over and over.
Of course, that would be illegal, even if I did have a camcorder. Oh well.Current Mood: bouncy Current Music: Teen Titans

Okay, so I haven't finished Ocean yet. I'm still working on my water effects.
In the meantime, I have finished Time:

I've also been able to work on my cloud effects. This is actually loosely based on an actual experience.
Ever walked by a hedge when suddenly a cloud of birds explodes from its depths, whirls around you, and shoots up toward the heavens?
...
Maybe it's just me.
Of course, I don't know of any other people who've had a swallow land on their heads, either.Current Mood: cheerful Current Music: (watching Stargate...life is good)

Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!
Now if only I could get this creative groove to lean in the direction of writing. I have several story projects that need my attention! And I have writer's block! AAAAAAA!
I think someone is having a bad afterlife. Trust me, this is one elemental you don't want to meet in a dark alley. Or anywhere else, for that matter. She specializes in mononoke. (Vengeful spirits of Japanese folklore.)
Bishie!! This is the unicorn boy for Kittenlark's mysterious story. He's supposed to be in his early twenties, but I have this really hard time getting the age right. (Teenagers and younger I have no trouble with. Drawing adults is more problematic. They always end up looking way to young or way too old.) Maybe this is his high school photo. 9.9
Anyway, I really like this picture. His hair is so shiny. ^-^Current Mood: accomplished Current Music: (watching Mythbusters rerun)
